Created by Myléne Hillam of Mill Lane Studio, the Raspberry Reflections Choker is a great design that you can dress up any outfit with. The step-by-step instructions below are also included in a downloadable PDF for easy reference.
- Deerskin Lace (1/8") Fuschia - 5 feet
- Three 50x4mm silver textured hollow tubes (ID 3mm)
- Two 10mm silver ribbon clamps
- Two 4mm silver jump rings
- Silver press stud clasp
- Chain Nose Pliers
- Flat Nose Pliers
- Adhesive Tape
- Tape Measure or Ruler
Step One: Measure the circumference of your neck and cut three pieces of Deerskin lace to this length.
Step Two: Align the three ends and place them on a piece of tape to hold them in place. Position a ribbon clamp over the ends.
Step Three: Using flat nose pliers, gently but firmly close the clamp to secure the laces. Tug them to make sure they are secure.
Step Four: Cut the other end of the three laces at an angle. This will make it easier to thread on the tubes.
Step Five: Insert a lace into each of the hollow tubes and slide them to the middle. These can be adjusted once the choker is assembled.
Step Six: Measure the length of the clasp, including the jump rings. Place the choker around your neck and mark where the two sides cross over. Subtract the length of the clasp and then trim the three laces.
Step Seven: Align the ends and tape them in position. Place a clamp over the end and press closed with the flat nose pliers. Gently tug the laces to make sure they are secure.
Step Eight: Open a jump ring and hook it through one end of the choker and one half of the clasp. Attach the other half of the clasp to the other end of the choker. Adjust the tubes to center them.
